I heard from someone that you should nver stay with a certain product for too long...i have decided to try it. Does anyone know of any hair care products that are bad for your hair? Damaging?

When you are using professional products recommended by a professional, there is little need to change products from time to time. Over the counter products are required by the FDA to carry a stripping agent which can be harsh. They also often have higher pH which causes the hair shaft to swell or open which causes all kinds of other problems. Over the counter products to especially stay away from are any that claim to repair split ends. Spit ends are split ends. Repair products just make them stick together, not go away. These products tend to be waxy and coat the hair, hence the need to rotate to other products. Your best bet is to get recommendations from a stylist who has worked with your hair. The wrong products don't work and don't give satisfying results while the right products for your hair type make all the difference.

Always look at the ingredients list. You don't want anything with alcohol, it will dry out your hair.

I do not know of any haircare products but I do know that a curl 'in iron and a straight 'iner can burn your hair!!

definitely something with alcohol. and suave really frizzes up my hair. but if u like a certain hair product you should stick with it

All products sold at any walmart, kmart, costco etc contain many FILLERS and WAXES to make up the bulk of the product. These fillers tend to stick to tha hair and coat it to make it feel limp and dull........ if your hair feels like peting a wet dog??? Then you have product buildup!!!!! Dont change cheap products --- get pro products!!!

All salon formulas are pure product with very minimal fillers. That is why it only takes a nickle to quarter size dallop of shampoo to do the job versus the handful that you would use of Pantene or Dippity-Do.........

More suds does NOT mean a better clean...... just more product to waste and to go down the drain .............. not to mention the weekly trips to discount store........ Cha Ching....... Use more ---buy more---- and fill their POCKETS............. yeah rite!

Try a pro product you will use less.
