Ok well, I work at a hair salon specializing in african and colored ppl. Most women get a weave at least every 3-4 weeks and they are like min $100.00 for a sew in. So.. they still have to buy the hair and if they want real hair then they spend depending on the lenth. 20 inches for 80.00 so just for that hair and the weave is 180.00 plus the styling.. and that is just one alternative.. dont forget about the relaxers and so on and so forth...so say 30% of women are african american.. 1.7 Billion dollars - 30% of all hair care products sold
