I used to have really awesome shiny and smooth hair but i got it cut and i wax and straighten it now and it looks all dead and dry.
So i was wondering
what are the best hair care products for shampooing? (and shold i condition?), heat protection when blow drying and straightening and wax? with GREAT HOLD and wont damage hair?
my hairs become really thin to when it used to be REALLY thick.
also how do i get good thick bangs without waxing them forward?
thanks so much for your help.Patch

well for shampoo, Pantene's thickening shampoo or the shiney and sleek ones will help and buy conditioner too. and for straightning i would use biolace's fortifying heat styler. it helps hold your hair and keeps the heat from damaging it. both are buyable at the drug stores or wal-mart.

First of all, you need to repair your hair.
Stop using products that use heat, even a blow drier. Let it all air dry. (Besides, you probably have short hair and it shouldn't take long.)
For shampoo, use one that gives moisture back. Try Dove. It has a cucumber and mint scent and gives back moisture.
Try this routine:
Day One: Wash with Shampoo and Conditioner.
Wet hair with cold water. Shampoo. (Make sure you get the roots.) Wash out. Add conditioner as needed. Let it soak for five minutes, but three is ok. Wash out. Towel dry hair, and let it air dry.
Day Two: Wet hair with cold water. Add conditioner as needed. Let it soak for five minutes, but three is ok. Wash out. Towel dry hair, and let it air dry.
Repeat.
I have been using this routine for a while and is repairing my hair. After your hair is restored (Dryness) move on to repair thinness. I suggest any volumizing shampoo and conditioner.
Limit heat tools to twice a week. (I know it sucks!) But keep in mind, when you straighten your hair, it should last for two days.
For heat protection spray. I recommend KMS Straightening Heat Protection Spray. It's available at Ulta. (I'm not sure where else, I won it.) It straightens and protects your hair, so it takes less time to straighten, thus, preserving your hair more.
