I personally love them, but my hairdresser says not to use them. She said Pantene is full of alcohol which dries out your hair, but they also put in a wax which makes your hair look and feel good. The wax is actually kind of hiding the affects of the alcohol! Good luck, if you find some good hair care products, let me know, I've been looking too. = }

Two of my friends are stylists and they said that the reason Pantene keeps your hair soft is that it puts a waxy coating on it. They both told me never to use it. As far as store brands go they have suggested Loreal for shampoo/condition as well as at home color.

well honestly, its really effective. how would u define a GOOD brand. how mild the ingredients or how fast it works??

it does leave yr hair as silky as EVER. but i feel that they use a lotta chemicals. in a way its good bcos yr hair feels great, smells great and LOOKS GOOD. AND it cleanses yr hair really well too. but if yr used to using mild shampoo then pantene is probably not the best choice. try herbal essences instead or natio. natio is a really good hair product. all natural and it WORKS. no joke

There are many good products out there, for hair and other things, that are great for your health and work amazing. They ARE a little pricier than the normal shampoo, but would you rather have cancer or pay a little more?

When it comes to products, I personally like Giovanni for hair care. It makes your hair sooo smooth, and it doesn't have any harsh chemicals. They also don't test on animals.
