I suggest using Dove shampoo and conditioner. Leave the conditioner on for like 2 minutes and your hair would be soft and shiny. And for the split ends, theres like no way of getting rid of it. You hafta either trim your hair, or get a hair cut. And for the straightening, you can always straighten it. =] but make sure you put on those heat protector thingie before you use the straighting iron.

Aussie, TIGI, and Pantene is good for cheap brands. But, if you want to get rid of those "ugly waves" with high quality stuff, you need to spend good money on a good brand, like Kerastese. Or, get a thermal straightener or relaxer to elliminate the waves forever.
