Do Pantene Pro-V hair care products ruin your hair?

I heard it does by two separate people so now I'm skeptical about using it, but is this even true at all? Does it really ruin your hair?

Pantene has a lot of wax in it so it just coats the hair to make it feel soft, it wont actually repair the hair ..if your looking to repair your hair i would use redken extreme shampoo and conditioner...It uses protein (lipids) to fill in the porous holes in the hair strand.. pretty much all store bought products have a lot of wax in them thats why its so cheap to buy..i would go for the good stuff..
