My hair is coming out alot. I 've been seeing a stylist for a year now and she has been using Nixion products on my hair. She believes in less mositure in your hair. I don't think this is working well for my hair. My hair seems very thin and I don't know what to do?

See a Dermatologist and then Find another Hair Dresser.
Almost all product on the market are promoting moisture in African American hair. Dry brittle hair will break. Mizani and Affirm products are conditioning the hair immediately after the relaxer process. This is done to add the moisture into the cuticle (middle layer of the hair) before closing the cuticle layer with the neutralizer.
Furthermore I would never recommend using Nioxin unless you are already loosing your hair. And even then I would consult with a dermatologist who would test my hair follicle to see if the hair has the ability to grow back or not.
My immediate recommendation is to perform a Kera Care treatment using the 5 in one Reconstructor, this should stop the breakage. Once or twice a week moisturize you scalp with a light oil, not grease. I recommend dry itchy scalp by Kera Care. Do not plaster it to your scalp, but apply a generous amount and then massage it into your scalp with your fingers. Then, if you can, for the next two months lay off the excessive heat. Roller set your hair and wrap it at night with a silk scarf. By taking these steps, in no time your hair will be healthy and strong.

Talk to her about that...I've never had any stylist tell me less moisture....my hair gets deeply conditioned and hot oil treatments and stuff....I would see another sytlist and get a second opinion...black hair is very different from white hair and some stylists don't seem to get that (no offence to anyone but it's so true)

Maybe you should try another stylists. Moisture is an important part of hair care. You dont need to add a lot of grease and oil to your hair so if that is what you mean then I agree but you should deep condition you hair at least once a month. Keep your ends trimmed. Make sure you wear a satin scarf or bonnet to bed. I know a lot of black women whose hair sheds in the winter months but the types of products you use in your hair make a difference as well. Maybe you could try Creme of Nature shampoo and conditioner or Patene Pro-V for black hair. You should also limit the amount of heat in your hair. Have you ever tried the Dominican shops. They do WONDERS. My sister has not had to get a perm in over a year since going there. What ever they use makes your hair soft and fluffy with a lot of body. You can also maybe try another stylist in your area. Oh yeah you also may want to go to the doctor to make sure its not something health realted. I know a friend who hair started coming out a lot and come to find out she had an thyroid problem. Taking vitamins may also help with your issue. I know some people who take Prenatal vitamins to help with skin and hair. Hope this helps.

try oiling your hair every alternate night and wash in d morning.. most stylists wont agree to this .. but for me its a personal experience..(dont go out in dust with oil on your hair)
n if possible use a mix of castor oil, almond oil, and olive oil, ... initially ull feel ur hair is still falling but those would be the weeker roots...
a few months time ull see d difference...but sincerely oil it every alternate night

When it comes to having beautiful, full hair my best answer would be hennaTry using the henna as often as you can it should thicken your hair and keep it healthy. If you don't want the red of the henna you may want to look for "neutral" or "colourless" henna. It will do as nice a job for your hair but without the colour. With the neutral henna you just have to mix it with tap water, this should be used as often as possible. If there are any skin problems on your scalp the henna or neutral henna will both help fight it. The last idea I have would be to take coconut oil and massage your head with it every night. Make sure when you're washing out the oil you're using a gentle shampoo, even better a henna shampoo. I wish you luck.

my mothers hair started thinning and falling out, she just started putting vitamin E on her hair and it grew back strong and long in no time. for black hair it takes a while to see a difference but vitamin E only takes at lest 4-5 weeks and use see a difference and it makes your hair smooth and shiny without the greasy look PEACE!
