Question for black women who prefer taking care of their hair at home.?

Ok, I hate going to the beauty salon, mainly because they are so scissors happy and because it cause a lot. I have been told I need to trim my hair if I want it to grow healty. So I did, and I must say I did I pretty good job. it looks nice, but it seems like it lacks something. what, I don't know. I just need some tips from those who prefer to take care of their hair at home. you know like what products to use and what not to.

ok i go to the salon adnhte ylady who dose my hair she relaxers it and i style i me self and i do my hair at home i can say and when i dont go to the salon adn when i do need to go it dose seems like somthing is missing but what i use is tresemme moisture rich sampoo set and the tresemme heat tamer and i falt iron my hair and it come out pretty nice umtil i need another touch up but try these products by tresemme

For my hair and that's pretty much it. I keep it as simple as i can and my hair is im pretty decent shape. I've also used Nuban Heritage Shampoo and hair butter in the past before i stopped relaxing my hair.

I'm biracial but i use Garnier Fructis products to keep my hair strong and nice and curly. For shampoo and conditioner i use Tresemme

I absolutly love Infusium shampoo (moisture) and the conditioner. For a deep conditioning (once a month) I use Cholesterol and cap for a couple of hours. I use a light moisturizer lotion (any) BEFORE I blow dry and very little. NOT THE SPRAY. Yes keep the ends clipped. I do this religiously. My hair is a little longer than shoulder length, people always ask me if my hair is weave because its so shiny and has a lot of body..... I have to show them my scalp to prove its my hair lololol. You can get all of these products at wal-mart.
