What's the difference between paste, pomade, wax, and gel hair products?

A friend of mine is wondering the difference between these products. Since I'm not a beauty hair care person can you guys help?

What's the difference between paste, pomade, wax, and gel hair products?

ive been using kms california hair paste/wax, works pretty good for asian hair i find

http://www.kmscalifornia.com

What's the difference between paste, pomade, wax, and gel hair products?

Ok i can help you with two of these. Wax is hard and sticky. You would use it if you have short hair and want to give it texture. Wax also allows your hair to move though. Gel is a liquid that drys in your hair and leaves it hard and in one place. I think pomade is like a grease that just slicks your hair down. I'm sorry i have not heard of paste.

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

The Kerastase line by L'oreal Professional only sold in "finer" salons.

$24.00 %26amp; up. But oh so totally worth every penny...

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

The Neutrogena brand shampooing and conditioner.

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

Head and Shoulders.

Usually, when using a shampoo, your hair "gets used" to the formula and it hasn't very much of an effect after a while, yet, with H%26amp;S, I've never had any problems, it's just amazing!

I know, I should make a commercial out of this or something.

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

L'OREAL HYDRA REPAIR HAIR SPRAY..I USE IT AFTER A SHAMPOO..ITS A GREAT STYLING PRODUCT AND ADDS SHINE TO MY STRAIGHT HAIR.

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

Wella........and sunsilk hair cream and also nivea is fine dont use one brand for long time and dont forget hair cutting

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

Wash and Go for oil hair

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

hair'n mane conditioner.......shampoos : all the same !

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

TIGI hair products. Also I love the Paul Mitchelle Super Skinny hair serum, makes hair so soft and shiny.

What is the best hair-care product you have used?

I am a red-head. I found radiant red shampoo and conditioner by john frieda. then for hairspray, tres two by tresemme, and mousse I use paul mitchell sculpting foam. oh, and radiant red color envy color sealer after shower, before styling.

Black Hair Care Advice?

I've always had very thin, short and unhealthy hair and has never had anyone to help me take care of it.Now I'm 17 and I am finally trying to take care of my hair but I don't know how to. My hair is short, dry, very brittle and very thin.I first permed my hair when I was about 8 or 9 years old and I still perm it every two months. Before I would just put it in a pony tail, cornrows, individual braids (human hair) and I now sow weave which has made my hair worst then before.I used every type of hair product and read learned that natural products should work good for my hair type, I haven't yet used natural products but I read that Carol's Daugter and Beauty 4 Ashes are my best choice.

I want to know should I continue to get my hair washed and set once a week and perm it every two months using natural products or should I cut it off and grow out the perm by either continuing to sow in the weave or get individual braids and get them done over every two months and what type of hair?

Black Hair Care Advice?

I think you should buy motions CPR treatment and put it and and sit under a blowdryer for like 30 mins every two weeks and stop perming your hair just let the perm grow out and get you hair trimmed every two weeks. And if you want you hair to be straight like if you had a perm just flat iron it. Thats what i did but i usually keep it in individuals and it is growing and becoming more healthy. And another thing if you are going to get individuals dont let them stay in for more that 4 weeks

Black Hair Care Advice?

Your hair sounds like it needs moisture.

I would suggest washing your hair with conditioner at least once a week, you can go to the salon and request it but you can do it at home too.

Good moisturizing conditioners are Nexxus Humectress,Keracare Humecto or any V05 conditioner.

When you get relaxers ask the stylist to leave a little texture so your hair won't be overprocessed.

Also limit heat usage and ALWAYS use a heat protectant when flat ironing.

Black Hair Care Advice?

DO NOT PERM YOUR HAIR ANY MORE. I REPEAT DO NOT PERM YOUR HAIR ANY MORE. The perm is most like the reason why your hair is thin short and brittle. That is what happen to me when I had a perm .You will also need to cut all of the perm out of your hair. You should try getting braids for about a years to get your hair healthy .Here are some product that help me to get my hair once again.

Black Hair Care Advice?

The best product to use is anything from Dr. Miracles or Doo Gro hair care products.

Leave the weaves alone.

Start using the products I mentioned and start messaging your scalp and hair line and temple are with a hair dressing that contains natural oils, vitamins and minerals. Do this at least two times a week.

Stop washing your hair every week. African Americans do not need to wash their hair that often because it causes our hair to loose it natural oils. We are suppose to wash our hair every 10-14 days.

Black Hair Care Advice?

Perms can be very damaging to black hair. Some people can wear them, but for many black women they cause the symptoms you are experiencing - dry, short, brittle, thin hair. In addition, weaves and braids, especially braids that are too tight, or that are done with someone else's hair, cause hair loss for many people because they exert constant tension on the hairline.

I strongly suggest that you stop perming your hair and you work on taking care of it in its natural state. The hardest part of learning to take care of black hair naturally is when you first start out. After you get used to it, it becomes much easier. Some people choose to chop off all of their relaxed hair and just start over fresh. Others let the relaxer grow out gradually and work with different styles while this is happening.

Can you keep makeup/cosmetics/hair products for several years, if you don't use it often/take c

With the exception of mascara, and certain organic/fruit/plant products which have a shorter shelf life, if you don't use cosmetics/products that often, can you keep them around for a few years, or do you have to discard them every few months?

It's frustrating because I have mannnnnnnnny items, and I spent so much money on them, nothing like lipstick or pencils, (im a guy), but skin creams, moisturizers, a few things like cover up, but top of the notch stuff. I got some of these things about a year ago, and would hate to just throw it away, after all the money I spent on it.

Are creams/cosmetics/hair products still effective or can be used several years later?

Or are they really meant to be used short term?

Can you keep makeup/cosmetics/hair products for several years, if you don't use it often/take care of them?

I can understand where you are coming from. I have a ton of expensive products that I have a hard time throwing away.

For the most part I don't throw it away unless the texture, color, and/or smells funny. Also if I use it and get a funny reaction- it get tossed. I don't think if you keep something for a year or two it gets a bad or lose it's effectiveness. I think it's the cosmetics company that is just trying to get us to buy more stuff.

If you keep stuff out of heat, light and moisture it extends the life of products too.

My favorite brand to get is MAC because they have a recycling program- you can take in six MAC products and get a free lipstick, lip gloss or eyeshadow. ( Which doesn't help you as a guy but you can give it to a friend and it feels less wasteful. )

Can you keep makeup/cosmetics/hair products for several years, if you don't use it often/take care of them?

Technically, you're supposed to throw things out.

I say use'em if they're usable - lotions, you'll KNOW when they've gone past - they'll get funky. Some will go rancid, so you'll know.

If it smells fine, looks fine and the consistency is normal - use it.

Anything you put on your face (like cover up) can contain bacteria - that's why they come in small "portion" sizes.

Hair care.......?

Hello,

This can be a problem with nutrition. Our body provides us with signals. You might try taking vitamins %26amp; eat healthy. It always good to condition your hair. Might rinse you hair with a quart of warm water with a tablespoon of vinegar. This will make sure all the residue is out %26amp; make it squeeky clean. If you still have a problem get a complete physical %26amp; see if you are in need of more specific vitamins %26amp; minerals.

Best Wishes,

Carol

What is a good baby hair care product.?

Actually I prefer Gerber baby bath products! Lots of great smells, cute bottle, and easy to dispense! Also very good at getting grease out of hair (used olive oil on my son's scalp to help with cradle cap and the Gerber stuff washed it clean easily!) My kids still use it, and it doesn't sting their eyes!

I like the lavender scent the best. The neat thing too is that you can use it on their body and hair which is nice when washing a baby, you don't have to mess with 2 different bottles or slippery soap!

What is a good baby hair care product.?

Johnson
