How do I straighten wavy hair?

I have long, wavy, THICK hair, and I want a way to keep it straight without having to use a hair straightener everytime I use the shower. Is there some hair care product I can purchase that will allow me to keep my hair straight?

I've found the best thing to do is use a shampoo and conditioner that super moisturize your hair, and right after the shower use a leave in conditioner. If at all possible let your hair air dry as much as you can and blow dry what's still wet. They make a great blow dryer with a comb attachment that works great. Make sure your hair is TOTALLY dry or you risk hair damage. Then work in sections with the flat iron to get all the waves/curls out.

If you don't want to use a flat iron all the time you can try a chemical process. There is a great product called Easy Straight for at home use... but do not try it if you're not good at at home things like that. And if you do use it, do NOT leave it on any longer than what the directions say!!! It will not make your hair straighter only cause damage. For people with really curly hair you may just end up with less curl and frizz... but I repeat, don't leave it on longer. After the treatment take very good care of your hair by conditioning and using leave in conditioner and don't use heat on it till the package says so.

just use a hair straightener.put it on the highest setting and it works.and do it slowly.it may take longer cuz your hair is thick.mine is too.and also use thermasilk gel.it makes your hair silky and soft and the gel is very light unlike those yucky sticky gels out there that harden up.it's kinda expensive but it's worth it.

Yes you can there is this jappanese straightning techinique you can get done at a hair stylist but ti cost like $400 and lasts about 4 monthes but when it grows back the top of your head is going to be curly so you will have to straighten it everyday anyway, or spend $400 more dollars every 3-4 monthes. There are some shampoos, gels, and conditioners that help with hair straightening and give you a head start i know jon freida makes that.
