Hair care tips/hairstyles for Asian black hair?

My hair is a few inches below my collarbone, and usually it's really nice in the morning, but by afternoon, it's stringy and flat and quite dead. I don't use any hair products, and I've been using Pantene Pro-V shampoo.

If anyone can help me out or leave any tips, that would be great. =)

Hair care tips/hairstyles for Asian black hair?

try hair spraying the roots in the morning. Style as you normally would. In the afternoon when it 'looks dead' then just pop into the restroom and wet your fingertips and reactivate the hairspray at the roots. Flip your head down and up a few times to dry the little bit, and the hair getting that little zero gravity session, will perk right up and the hairspray will dry too!

Believe me, it's Farrah Faucet time!

Hair Problems!?

I have VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY THIN HAIR!! Okay imagine a girl who has normal curly hair in a pinytail. I seriously have only TWO normal curls in my ponytail! That's all my hair!! My sister also has thin hair too. We don't know where we get it from. My dad is fully black and black people have thick hair and my mom is fully white but has normal hair. You know..not too thick not too thin. Is there any hair care products that make my hair grow thicker? Seriously, I have worn my hair in a ponytail EVERYDAY since kindergarten!! And I'm in 6th grade! Ivery badly want side bangs and to wear my hair down. But it looks weird because it's too thin.. :(

Hair Problems!?

Thin hair is generally genetic, but I guess there could be foods that you could eat to try to thicken your hair. Also try brushing it alot, it won't make it thicker, but it will stimulate growth, so that even if it's thin, if you have a lot of it, then , no big deal, right? But thin hair is fine, I have thin hair, and its fine, I wear it down, and it's fine. Curly fine hair looks thicker than straight fine hair, which I guess is why my hair doesn't look too thin, cos it's kinda got a weird natural wavey-ness to it

Hair Problems!?

try volumizing shampoo... and you arent old enough to be on y!a if your only in 6th grade

Hair Problems!?

Hair is made from protein, so try eating protein rich food like eggs, fish and reduce the stress in your daily life. More tips at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/growhair.htm...

Hair Problems!?

I would try a thickening shampoo or shampoo for thinning hair. There is a great one made by Nioxin. Also, if you wear your hair short it makes it look fuller. If you wear it long it will probably look stringy and not too cute. Also, I dont understnd if you have curly hair or not, but if you dont, maybe you should get a perm with big perm rods. Like 1 1/4" ones. Hope this helps!

Hair Problems!?

You have a certain number of hair folicles alloted to your head. So far there has been no luck creating new. The only ans for some is transplanted hair but you need thick hair in back to do that. There are volumizing shampoos and also some gels that will help. A very short perky look may give your hair strength and help it look fuller too. If you have permission maybe you get get your parents to take you to a salon and get it styled. This way you will look your best.

Hair Problems!?

When I was young my hair was super thin as well, so i know what you are talking about. What my parens decided to do was to....are you ready? They shaved ALL of my hair. Yes, I was bald! BUT...it did grow thicker than what it was. So I know that's not one of your options. Plus my parent's did that when i was in elementary (very harsh). Anyways, I'm older now and still think my hair is thin, so i decided to take some pills recommended by my hair stylist. They are called "Nioxin: Intensive Theraphy Recharging Complex" and I have noticed results. Also use a volumizing shampoo and make sure to always use conditioner. =) GOOD LUCK!

Does anyone know a good hair curling product?

I have stick straight hair and i love how pretty it looks when its curled, but using the curling iron by youself is really hard, so im always looking for special mousses and hair curling tips. Does anyone have any tips for curling hair or possibly, do you know any good hair care products that will curl super- straight hair?

Does anyone know a good hair curling product?

um my hair has a little natural wave to it but i use a curly shampoo and curly conditioner they have them at like any store...shampoos and conditioners that are made to make your hair curly and then when i get out of the shower i wrap it up in a towel and let it dry just a little then i use gel and hairspray ( make sure you use the hairspray when it is when and it will make ur hair curlier) and just scrunch my hair up to the top of my head when i am upside down. that usually works for me hope it helps

Does anyone know a good hair curling product?

You will definitely need a strong hold hairspray for your curls to hold. I think a non-aerosol spray or spritz would work well for your hair.

Hair colour keeps washing out?

For hair colouring experts out there: any idea how long before permanent hair colour should should stop washing out with every wash? It's been about two weeks, and the water still runs with colour when I wash my hair. (I do use shampoo+conditioned for colour treated hair) I've used hair colouring products several times, I've tried Garnier and L'Oreal (colours: blueberry black, intense auburn, ultraviolet brown) and each time, the colours wash out quite quickly. I do follow the colouring instructions (not washing hair beforehand, using approperiate hair care products afterwards). Any ideas what the problem is? The hair colour just does not seem to stick to my hair well (my hair is naturally light brown). Thanks!

Hair colour keeps washing out?

Intense colors fade very quickly even when you are using all the right products. I have had good luck with using a matching semi-permanent color the same day that I have applied the permanent color. My hair is naturally very porous and color tends to fade quickly, the semi-permanent seems to help lock it all in and gives my hair a lot of shine. It usually takes a good 10 to 15 minutes of rinsing the initial color application out for me to not have color constantly running in my rinse water everytime I shampoo. If I'm pressed for time and don't rinse for that long I end up with the same color running issue as you have, for weeks on end.

Hair colour keeps washing out?

If your hair is very damaged it could be why your color is not staying put.

You could try a product called Revlon Colorist Expert Color and Glaze System. It comes with a tube of conditioning creme with color in it, so that each time you use it you get a new dose of color, without the damaging effects.

Hope this helps!

Has anyone used the infatreat hair care range yet ? if so do you like it ?

I have extremely dry and course hair and someone told me to try the infatreat range, I was just wondering if anyone has tried it yet, and if so what do you think is it any good... if not what other hair products do you use if your hair happens to be like mine.

Has anyone used the infatreat hair care range yet ? if so do you like it ?

Its alright, I usually use a conditioning hair mask if my hair is particularly dry. If you use alot of heat on your hair like dryers, straightners and tongues, dry a heat defence product as this will be adding to your dry hair.

Hair care for my toddler?

almost 2 year old daughter who is biracial. Hates having hair done, any suggestions on styles or products, or care in general.

Its a fight to wash, it comb it, and when i fix it she pulls it down or messes it up.

Hair care for my toddler?

Take her to a kid-friendly salon, with children's TV programs, and coloring books, etc. Let her select a style from a book with the hair dresser.

It's not that expensive, and it will save you a lot of aggravation.

I went through this with my daughter for YEARS.

She was about 9 before she'd let me touch her hair.

Hair care for my toddler?

I would give her the options of which shampoo to buy, how she wants her hair done and so on. I think if she has some sort of say in the matter it might help. Even if you give her a choice between two or three different ideas. It helps them feel like they were part of the decision, rather than feeling like you are making them do it.

Hair care for my toddler?

My aunt just adopted a biracial little boy and she also had the same problem because she did not know how to style his hair. If you are asking about products, regular baby shampoo and detangler work really well, but depending on the kinkiness of your daughter's hair, she might not need to get it washed as often otherwise it will dry her scalp.

My aunt finally got her son to a beauty salon that specializes in that kind of hair, and they gave her the name of some products and tips to use on her son's hair. She uses regular Johnson shampoo for kids...but she also has to moisturize his hair with a lotion called "Pink". I am not sure what it is, but I have bought it a few times at the store for her at her request.

She also got a co-worker to show how to braid her son's hair. She's getting really good at it!

Good luck!

Hair care for my toddler?

I used to be the same way when I was younger. The part I hated was having my head in the water being rinsed. So my mom used a plastic pitcher that we painted together. Also when you are shopping for shampoo buy the no tear stuff and ask her what one she likes better. (The smell, the color) Then when you are styling her hair ask her what she want. It only has to be 2 or 3 choices. (High Pony, Pig tails, Braid, or Low Pony) If she wants something else she will let you know. Hope I was helpful.

I'm looking for a product line of hair care that will make my hair silky and straight....?

I'm a white girl with shoulder length hair. My hair is very thick and it is a little frizzy and bushy. It has some natural wave in it which is a thorn in my side because I want it to be frizz free and straight without having to take a straight iron to it. I wish there was a shampoo and conditioner that actually did what it says it does. I was thinking about getting the Frizz-ease product line when I went to the store tonight. Does anyone have any experience with it and does it work well? I have a baby and don't have lots of time to mess with my hair. I have so much hair, it would take FOREVER to take a straight iron to it every day. Is there anything that might work on my hair?

I'm looking for a product line of hair care that will make my hair silky and straight....?

try sunsilk products. they have 3 products that i think you might like. anti-poof, straigten up and de frizz. they come in a cream, conditioner and shampoo.

I'm looking for a product line of hair care that will make my hair silky and straight....?

I have a problem where my hair goes all fluffy and frizzy when it's just washed but i use Dove shampoo followed by Dove condidioner. I use the one for dry/damaged hair, it leaves my hair smoth, silky and straight. bingo!

I'm looking for a product line of hair care that will make my hair silky and straight....?

There is this Loreal's "Elvive" shampoo and conditioner, which works out for all kinds of hair and smooths them out.

Why don't you try out "Mrs.Marino" hair softener?(This is after shampooing ur hair)

I'm looking for a product line of hair care that will make my hair silky and straight....?

The BEST product can't be found in a store. It is natural rain water!! My grandmother use to have a barrel she would catch the rain in. It had a screen on top to catch debris. Just keep a container(like a gallon bottle) in your bathroom(or where ever you wash your hair) and make the final rinse using rain water. It has no chemicals(ok, I know about the chemicals in the air) and costs nothing!

I'm looking for a product line of hair care that will make my hair silky and straight....?

For dry hair pls try these hot oil massages....they will help in maintaing the natural sheen of your hair and will also condition your hair:

Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.

Hot Caster oil massage: Warm 闄?cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently comb it. Bind the hair with hot towel on the head, wait for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. As it is home made is so good to use for scanty hair.

Clove oil honey massage. Stir well 闄?cup of green olive oil with 1 cup of liquid honey. Shake vigorously. Keep the mixture to settle for a day or two. Massage into the scalp and comb it not touching the scalp. After massaging cover hair with plastic shower cap. Make it air tight to let the heat penetrate, leave like that for 20 to 30 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse well. It is good for dark hair to keep it shining and lustrous.

Take care

i am told, that coloring affects the hair. I have lovely hair and want to maintain them even after streaking. Please guide me how should i take care of them?

which products should i use- shampoo and conditioner? which brand- have been suggested loreal.

is oiling required?

I have recently got my hair streaked. I want to know how should I take care of it now what products shud i use

As a stylist, I would suggest first determining wether your hair was damaged from the process. If your feels a little dry you will want a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is thin and fine with damage, you will want a volumizing shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner. If your hair turned feeling great, you have some freedom to play around with products, just make sure they are of good ingredients. Peace

Whats the best hair product i should use???

Help with hair care?

i've been using the same shampoo for quite a while now but it isn't doing much to my hair. i live in a place where it's always hot and the air is humid. i have short hair and it isn't really dry nor is it really oily. i usually wash my hair once a day or once in two days. lately, my hair has also been falling just a little bit and i'm a bit worried about that. could anyone suggest which shampoo/conditioner/hair product is best for me to use to keep my hair healthy? also, what type of food is really good for the hair? thanks a bunch.

Help with hair care?

Humidity has a lot to do with hair. I have short, wavy hair. High humidity just makes it frizz. Low humidity is preferable. You could be over-conditioning your hair. I would switch to one of the new Dove products appropriate for your hair type. They are free of many chemical additives found in many hair products. Vitamin E is also good, but be careful not to overdose. Too much Vit E can be harmful. 400mg daily should be plenty. Eat foods high in omega oils and vitamin A, both good for skin and hair. Use a natural bristle brush. For safest results when drying, use your fingers to comb your hair. This will reduce stress and breakage. If all else fails, consult a professional.

Help with hair care?

Maybe you should consult a doctor about your hair situation.

Help with hair care?

Lots and lots of water. And use make sure you are washing just at your roots and then conditioning only the tips of your hair. Wash only at the roots so you dont remove too many of the good oils in your hair and then use a light conditioner just on your tips to keep them from getting dry.

Help with hair care?

use frizz ease and get the shapoo and conditer seprate you only need to condion your hair once a week

Help with hair care?

I like pantene, or other higher quality shamoos and conditioners. I think that protines are good for your hair, also, I have a friend who uses grape seed oil. Good luck, and also ask your hair dresser! They are always happyt to help

Help with hair care?

Try using Loreal absolute repair shampoo and conditioner . have lots of fruits and vegetables.

Help with hair care?

You need to alternate using a different shampoo than what you usually use because your hair gets used to the same shampoo all the time. If your hair falls out that is kinda normal. But you could also need to take vitamins.

Help with hair care?

I have very thick hair, it takes hours to dry, and I color it. This is if you live in the USA. There is a new hair cleaning item I found at QVC, which is called is called Wen, it is shampoo that isn't soapy, you wash your hair with it but it is a conditioner. I have the tea TREE OIL AND FIG. but you have to get past the idea of sudsy shampoo, it cleans you hair but there are no suds. I Love it, usually 3 or 4 washings of my hair and the color starts to come out, not with this product, it is great. QVC also has a website, QVC.com.

Help with hair care?

ive had the same problem. i wash my hair every other day cause if you wash it alot it starts to fall off. straighten yer hair even its short cut the tips once it starts growing, and try Tresemme it does miracles for yer hair. foods? try eating lots ov citrus food theyll make yer hair shiny and healthy looking

Hair care question...please answer?

does using hair products daily or very often make your hair more damaged?

Hair care question...please answer?

I depends on what kind of products you are talking about. Some products are alright to use every day but you need to make sure that you are washing your hair in order to get the residue out. Its not harmful to leave it in but it looks kinda nasty. If you are using anything chemical to straighten your hair I wouldn't recommend that you use it vey often because it can and will damage your hair.

Hair care question...please answer?

Yes! In fact, the ignorant of using the suitable choice of the products is the utmost culprit! It is advisable before using any product to be first advised by a hair specialist. He or she can determine your hair condition, scalp condition, its PH and from these informations can then advice you the type of hair products suitable for your hair type plus their frequent usage. Moreover, it is advisable to acknowledge your general health as well(check with a Physician) and the food you consume daily. These have a part too in the process of building to healthy hair growth. I hope these help.

Which product for severe dry/damaged hair is better??

I came across two different hair care products that work really good with dry/damaged hair and my hair is really damaged I've bleached it 4 times in a row then decided to die it back to its original color and now my hair is really long and dry with all kinds of split ends and breakage and its way to light I want it to be heavier so I was wondering what you think will be the best for my hair between:

Biolustre Rescue EMS Instant Repair

or

Phyto

What do you think....

or

Do you have any ideas??

Which product for severe dry/damaged hair is better??

There is a product I use by VO5 that comes in individual packets - you buy 3 in a package. I'm not at home right now so I'm not positive of the name, but it's called 'Deep Conditioning Cream' or Mask. Anyway ,there is only the one type. It's a really thick orange colored conditioner and works extremely well. I have extra curly hair and I use this at least once a month because it works great.

My sister had a problem after dying her hair once and I gave her some of this stuff and now she uses it all the time too.

Which product for severe dry/damaged hair is better??

you need to cut your hair, and start using "silk" you can find it in any professional hair store. I had to learn the hard way....

cutting it will make it healthy, and the "silk" will make it soo soft, and protect it from further damage, so it can grow back nicely.

p.s. my moms a hairdresser....thats EXACTLY what I had to do

Which product for severe dry/damaged hair is better??

I've never heard of either product you listed but I have a few ideas for you.

Try a deep conditioning treatment. The best ones are sold at professional supply stores but if you don't know someone with a cosmetology licsense this won't help you. You can also buy them at Sally's and some drug stores.

After you wash your hair put the treatment all over and then wrap your hair tightly in a damp towel. If you have a hooded dryer it works best to sit under it for an hour otherwise you can hold a blow dryer to it for an hour. Kind of a pain in the *** I know.

Do you have straight hair? A flat iron is the best way to reduce frizz, although the heat can sometimes damage your hair also.

A good line to try a damage fixing conditioner is Back to Basics, or Biolage. I hope this helps. My mom owns a hair salon, so I've tried a lot of products.

Which product for severe dry/damaged hair is better??

Cholesterol Treament.

Which product for severe dry/damaged hair is better??

start off with cutting off the split ends..

then i would go to a salon and ask a stylist what you should do..

they always have really great advice!

also if you use heat on your hair a lot.. be sure to use heat protectant! (:

good luck

Which product for severe dry/damaged hair is better??

Aloe Vera,is a good remedy for dry hair. It is obtained from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. Break the leaf and squeeze out the liquid inside, apply this liquid to your scalp, keep for about an hour and wash it off . Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Hair products?

i am going away for the summer t a medical program i want my hair to look great easy and fast i have heard about two different brands burt's bee's and bath and body works hair care. has anyone tried both of these productsand can you tell me the pro's and con's to each thanks sooo much! 閳?br>Hair products?

Burts bees smells great and so does bath and body. If you want a easy way to do your hair wash it and let it do its natural thing. If you have naturally strait hair rub some frizz cream through it and let it air dry. If its wavy run some Aussie Milk through it and let it air dry. Same for curly. Also ponytails with little hairclips or headbands are a great idea to! As for shampoo and conditioner find one that works best for you!

Hair products?

YES I GOT A BEST answer Report It

Hair products?

my advice, tres semme, or however you spell it, it works really good and is affordable, it is the most like salon products. if you want something higher end try redken hair products.

What products and methods could I use to prepare for a hair perm pre-care and what can I use for aft

I decided to get a perm, but I want to be prepared for the damage it may inflict. Therefore, I think it would be best for me to start working towards the appointment I have with the hairdresser and get my hair into shape the best way I can. I have fine hair that is a few inches longer then shoulderlength. It gets regular trims and always gets washed with good shampoo, sometimes together with a conditioner.

Not only do I want to know what I could do before the perm, I also wanted to know what I could do and what products I can use after I got the perm. Which products or which methods you can use to take good care of the permed hair after the entire process is over.

I intend to get the perm within a few weeks, so there is still time. However, I want to be prepared.

What products and methods could I use to prepare for a hair perm pre-care and what can I use for aftercare?

ask your hairdresser if they could do a 24 hour perm this works on fine hair the best

a 24 hour perm does not use the neutralizer --- but by leaving the curling solution and rods on the hair for 24 hours --- so it can dry naturally

this sounds extreme but chemically the curling solution only works while it is dripping wet so after about 10 minutes it stops and the hair starts to neutralize by itself --- this perm is by far the best for fine hair --- i,ve done hundreds of them --

What products and methods could I use to prepare for a hair perm pre-care and what can I use for aftercare?

Important wash before the perm with normal shampoo nothing fancy. and don't wear conditioner those products will cause for the perm not to hold. And after it can cause it to go away faster. After the perm do not wash your hair for at least 2 days only wet it and there are alot of products for after perm

What do you think of Arbonne hair products?

is it good for hair care?

What do you think of Arbonne hair products?

Although I am an Arbonne Independent Consultant, I am also a consumer and personally like them for myself. Just a little information on the products for you.....They're made with nanosphere technology that allow the products to self adjust to hair's daily changing needs. They're also made with natural ingredients, including natural oils, and licorice to help protect hair and have benefits such as blocking the production of DHT, a metabolite of testosterone that can actually destroy the hair follicle, and give hair the best defense against time and age. The products including shampoo, conditioner, and shampoo with tea tree oil are good for all hair types, even color treated hair.

If you're considering trying the products, Arbonne offers a 45 day money back guarantee if you're not 100% satisfied with them. Good luck.

What do you think of Arbonne hair products?

YES ITS BEST FOR HAIR CARE

What do you think of Arbonne hair products?

I used the PH Balanced stuff, and it made my hair extremely greasy. I used if for about 3 months, thinking with continued use, it would go away, but it didnt, so I don't recomend it.

Anybody here knows why the hair care line LOGICS has been discontinued ?

I read something like an ad in a magazine about a new and improved LOGICS hair products but it didn't mention when they will be available in salons. I'm also not sure if they were talking about the same product that got discontinued. If anyone knows please let me know because now I have to order my shampoo and conditioner online and it's not the most convenient way, but I go out of my way to get them 'cause the product is just AWSOME!

African American hair care???

I am an african and I was just wondering how african american women keep their hair flat almost all the time without any growths showing. I use a relaxer every now and then and use a flat iron on my hair, but then my hair gets rough when the undergrowths start growing out and the split ends too. Do you know of any hair products that allows the hair to stay soft for a long period of time before I am ready to relax it? Also, are there any shampoos and conditioners that make the hair texture soft? I would like to leave my hair out a lot like most african american women do.

African American hair care???

Wrap it girl wrap it....After you get your hair pressed or flat ironed you brush it and brush it around your head. then take a silk scarf and tie it. You will need to do this everynite b4 going to bed and your hair will stay straight.

Have fun.

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

Shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, hair mask etc. All the stuff you use, that keeps your hair healthy and shiny. I'm in dire need of new hair care, because my hair is beginning to die. Share your secrets please!

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

i love the pantene moisture renewal line. i use the shampoo and conditioner. leave the conditioner on for about 3 minutes and then rinse thouroughly. once a week i subsitute the conditioner for the pantene time renewal mask. l also use the pantene moisture renewal intensive restoriation treatment about twice a week. you can get all these at a local drugstore. it leaves my hair sooo shiny and moisturized, which is why i have no split ends!

p.s. another reason my hair is so shiny is because i used clairol natural instincts shiny happy. it's like a gloss i use once a month to add extra shine, but sometimes i noticed that without the gloss, my hair still has extreme shine and mositure :]]

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

i always use vidal sasoon conditional after wash hair.

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

The brand "Enjoy". I use their moisturizing shampoo and conditioner once a week and it's awesome. They are in the hot pink bottles - each of their shampoos come in different colors. Their spay-in leave in conditioner is great too for everyday use. You can even use it on your skin and it's great for after sun use.

They are expensive, but the shampoo and conditioner you only once a week, so it lasts forever.

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

The singular best product I've ever used is Dirt by Jonathan. I thought he was an arrogant jerk on his series, but my daughter ordered this product me on Sephora. It's $28.00 a tube, but lasts forever. A pea sized amount in your palm gives your hair a great shiny finish without weighing in down. You might also try one of the older hot oil treatments once a week, and try, if possible, not to wash your hair every day.

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

When I was a kid, Nexxus was all the rage. It was really good, but that was such a long time again so..... Now, I use anything from Yves Rocher. It's a French company, and their shampoos are really good and really inexpensive, too. Trust me; it's really good. Their shower gels and lipsticks are really good, too.

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

I use the blue bottle Herbel Essences. I forgot what it's called, sorry, but it's design for moisturizing. Because of the shampoo and conditioner, I haven't deep conditioned my hair in a while and I get the same effect as if I was deep conditioning it and I frequently use my flat iron and curling iron. It leaves my hair silky soft.

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

What are your top moisturizing hair products?

honey, if you're looking to save your hair, visit a salon with people and service that you trust. find a good recommendation from people around you, not just people from online. visit several salons and get their opinions on what kind of treatments they offer for your hair. talk to the stylists and share your story; when they see your hair, these professionals, they should know what to do.

and just to answer your question, these days, I use Changpo Wave Volume Up from the face shop (thefaceshop.com), but see, I doubt it if that's much help.

If you are indeed in dire need of hair care, people need to know exactly what your hair is, how it is now and its history. Because with all the products out there in the market, your hair type (african/asian/caucasian, etc.; blond/red/brown/black, etc.; is it originally straight/wavy/curly/kinky; did you have any rebonding/straightening/perming/colour treatments, is your hair a virgin?) matters.

Good luck on your quest.

Is this hair care routine ok??

1. shampoo with redken smooth down shampoo

2. condion with Biolage ultra-hydratind condioning balm

3.apply Biolage Hydra-seal leave-in creme then blow-dry

4. flat iron or put in hot rollers

5.apply Carol's Daughter Tui Hair Oil

6. put wax works by Paul Mitchell on edges

7. finish it off with some hairspray.

tell me what you think and if you know about any of these hair products feel free to share your opinion about them. your feedback means a llot!

Is this hair care routine ok??

i would suggest using less heat styling (it causes tons of damage) and using a clarifying treatment once a week to take off product buildup. make sure you get a hair trim every 4-6 weeks. have them take off 1/4 inch at least. of course some of this depends on your hair type. if you have african american hair it can be difficult to deal with without all this stuff. i dont have black-girl hair and i try to let it be as natural as possible. it also depends on your lifestyle i guess. i just shampoo, condition and then leave in conditioner. i recomend only brushing your hair when dry and wide tooth combing when wet. it cuts down on breakage and split ends. also try deep conditioning once a week. hope i helped!

Is this hair care routine ok??

I think thats alot of stuff to have to do everyday, and half of it probably isnt necessary! But i do love Biolage conditioning balm

Is this hair care routine ok??

Seems like though you treat your hair good in the first steps, but flat ironing is hard on your hair and so is hairspray, but other than that it sounds good. I don't know exactly why you asked this but if you want new ideas you could use a deep conditioner two times a week to keep your hair super shiny and healthy.

Is this hair care routine ok??

that is alot of hair product

and half of it is probably hurting your hair in the long run

you dont need the hair oil, or the wax

because you just have hair spray to hold you hair, you could use mousse

but the shampoo and conditioner is AMAZING

i use it too

Is this hair care routine ok??

yea keep that up and you will have straw for hair in about 6 months :|

heat is very damaging to your hair and gunking it up with all those products will dry it out even more.

As for shampoo and conditioner find one that works best for you!

my advice, tres semme, or however you spell it, it works really good and is affordable, it is the most like salon products. if you want something higher end try redken hair products.

Humble hair care line?

ok so this girl on YA said that her line of hair products works, and that petrolium is bad for the hair, and i looked at her after affects, and her hair grew REALLY long after using it and before she had like a short pixe cut, now its to the middle of her back. do you think the line she made is better for hair since it does not have petroilum and unatural chemicals in it, plus no alchohal?

Humble hair care line?

I'm sorry but you shouldn't believe everything on the internet. Either the before and after pictures were fake, they weren't the same person, or it took her like 3 years to grow it out.

Humble hair care line?

Her products are definitely better for the hair because its all natural (no petroleum, mineral oil, sls). I don't know how long it'll take to grow out your hair. But natural products are much better for ethnic hair

Humble hair care line?

I live in the city where the Humble haircare line originated (they only have one store right now but they are about to open a second and they are launching their web sight in the next couple of weeks so it will be available everywhere on the web) but anyway my point is because of this reason, I ran across it when the store opened a couple of years ago and I bought some. Although I was a HUGE skeptic but my daughter had been having ALOT of breakage from a bad perm-she lost 8 inches. At that point I decided we should all go natural, and I happened to come across this store. In 1 1/2 years her hair was back (to her bra strap) and healthier than before. So Now I use humble products on myself and both daughters and my 2 sons. I will not switch back. They really educated me on how to read labels on other products and find the best answer myself. Now let me reiterate that I was a HUGE skeptic, but after 2 years I I am sold and I will not go back!.... hope this helps

Humble hair care line?

When it comes to my hair I'm very careful about what I put on it and in it because I've suffered tremendous breakage and shedding trying to go the cheap route w/ not so great products. When I found humble I was drawn by the all natrual products. I've been using them for 1 year now on my hair as well as my daughter's hair and I have seen a great change...for the better! My hair is relaxed and it gives me moisture and shine that I need w/o weighing down my hair. My daughter's hair is natural and it keeps it managable and moisterized. I would definately recommend these products...and you're buying local too! Believe me...you'll love them.

Hair care tips for torn-black hair, anyone?

I have a natural black hair that is starting to turn really, really red. It doesn't look like it's dry, on the contrary it turns greasy very easily. I want it to be black-coloured again, is there any hair products/herbs that can help? Note that my scalp is a bit sensitive and can't take just any hair product, otherwise it starts to itch. Thanks!

Hair care tips for torn-black hair, anyone?

You can mix some temporary black-dye into your conditioner and it'll keep the color richer. I say temporary because they generally aren't as damaging and don't need to stay on as long (since it'll wash out next time, but also be reapplied next time).

You'll essentially have a home-made version of those "Brilliant Brunette" or "Sheer Blond" shampoos for black hair.

Fragrance/perfume like So Sexy hair care line?

Does Victoria's Secret sell a perfume/fragrance that has the same scent as their So Sexy hair care line (shampoo/conditioner/hair products)? I love the smell of it and it doesn't bother my allergies like most scents do. I would go in the store %26amp; start testing their perfumes to see, but, 99.9% of perfumes bother my allergies, so, I really can't just try %26amp; was wondering of any of you gals happen to know.

Fragrance/perfume like So Sexy hair care line?

I would try asking the sales associate at Victoria's secret. but explain your allergies so that they don't have you smelling all their perfumes. If they do have it, it'll probably come under the same name, like their garden collection did.

Fragrance/perfume like So Sexy hair care line?

this was a dumb question like really NO THEY DON'T TWO DIFFERENT LINES OF PRODUCTS WERE TALKING HERE NO!!!!!!!!!! JUST KEEP THE SO SEXY HAIR PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fragrance/perfume like So Sexy hair care line?

YES THEY DO! it's called very sexy. it's in a red bottle, but it actually doesn't smell much like the hair products. so you should go to the store and try it for yourself first :)

I have recently got my hair streaked. I want to know how should I take care of it now what products

i am told, that coloring affects the hair.

I have thin kinda wavy hair but i want beautifu curly hair like Jessica Beil what would be the best hair care product that i should use??? please help

=]

Whats the best hair product i should use???

After you wash, just tie the towel dried hair together in a pony.

Using your fingers/hand, crunch the hair.

comes out beautifully.

Actually you will not need any product that harms the hair. But on dry hair you can use Herbal essence leave in Conditioner.

That type as you say needs irons. Avoid except on occasions.

Whats the best hair product i should use???

ok well Jessica Beil uses a curling IRON!!! omg there hair is not that curly and perfect just get a 3/4 barrel curling iron and some hairspray

What are the different products involved in a hair care line?

FOR EXAMPLE SHAMPOO CONDTIONER,LEAVE IN CONDTIONER. CAN YOU TELL ME THEM ALL AND FOR WHAT THEY DO OBVIOUSLY I KNOW WHAT THE ONES I LISTED DO.

What are the different products involved in a hair care line?

Well it depends on the line! Some lines may have certain products while others don't, but typically lines may also have a hair spray(extra hold, super or regular)

an ant-frizz sereum,

another type of conditioner for deep cleansing(extra conditioning for damaged hair that needs repair)

a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner,

a mousse (to provide contol and manageability)

Hope this helps a bit!

Why cant white women do black hair?

I've heard that caucasian hair care products are as good for black hair as white's, maybe even better than black hair products...

Why cant white women do black hair?

Maybe they don't have the experience. I take my daughter to a hair school, she is African-American and sometimes the hair dressers I get are white women. Many do a good job, while some just don't. I think it just a matter of intrest and experience.

Why cant white women do black hair?

they can if that want

Why cant white women do black hair?

yea

Why cant white women do black hair?

ummm no not really cause this one shampoo took out my friends hair and she is black and guess wat the shampoo is for white people soo...there

Why cant white women do black hair?

different hair need different products

Why cant white women do black hair?

The same reason black women can't do white hair.

Maybe it has something to do with experience. Odds are if you are a black woman, you go to a black hairdresser so the hairdresser just doesn't get the same amount of time on white hair. And vice versa

As far as hair products, my friend told me that black hair requires large amounts of moisture locking products and I can tell you (I have very wavy, frizzy hair) that the products made for caucasians just do not do that much to lock in moisture, with the exception of John Frieda Frizz Ease.

Don't you just hate a bad haircut from anyone? I do.

Why cant white women do black hair?

Caucasian women can and do work on African American hair. My mother-in-law who is Caucasian uses AM-BI products.

My African American girlfriend uses the same shampoo as me a Caucasian. What's your point?

We also eat the same foods, like to read the same books and go to the movies. If you fee that Caucasian hair products are better then use them or try them.

I think I got the wrong impression of you for the way your question was worded and to that I apologize. However I don't think you need to use the language you did. Look at your question! It does sound racist. So calm down! and yes I do apologize! and yes there are differences in your hair and mind.

But a white woman in my town does do black hair quite well and yes she went to school for it. If white products work better then give them a try my girlfriend says the one with moisture in them work well.

Look how you wrote the question the second time? It makes more sense and doesn't sound racist?

Why cant white women do black hair?

Because they have not had much or no experience with "black hair". By the way, what is "black hair'?

Why cant white women do black hair?

I attended cosmetology school. And very much like others have indicated it has to do with experience. Unfortunately when attending cosmetology school in the state of Ohio, the curriculum focuses primarily on European hair. There is a section on African American hair, but if you don't study hard and really pay attention to other students who may be more experienced you'll miss it.

Why cant white women do black hair?

Simply because they have not been trained to work with black hair. And those that have been trained to work on black hair-do's do a great job........................................ Also white hair products are no different than black hair products. And the reason that they both products work on black and white hair is because we are all are members of one race the human race................................ So I am sorry to say that your racist point of view has failed to make its points...............

Why cant white women do black hair?

I have no preference with products. I use what I want whether it's advertised to "white" people or not. I love VO5. And you're right most commerical hair products marketed toward "black hair" are complete crap.

Why cant white women do black hair?

Thats funny to me cause i am half black and half white. My husband is black and my 6 children are of course mixed race, with inheriting mostly black genes they have quite thick course hair. My mom is white and she is a hairdresser and even raising me she doesn't have a clue how to care for my childrens hair. I myself have very curly thick hair and i use a mixture of hair products.I use pink moisturizer, and pantene shampoo and conditioner "for women of color" I use coconut oil for braiding my 5 girls hair.My husband brought me home some pert plus shampoo ,which i had never heard of,but it is charachterized as a shampoo for "white" people.I only wash my hair once a week, but i did use that pert and it worked fine. As for white women doing black womens hair it all has to do with expperience. Black womens hair is harder to do ,lets face the facts. It takes more maintenance, and i don't want anyone to do my hair.I myself would be more likely to go to a black women just because i feel like she would know what she needs to do.I feel like if i go to a white women she wouldn't have a clue.To black women getting a perm means getting our hair straightened, and to white women it means getting curls put in.It's just different,i can think of a hundred examples. It took me a long time to grow my hair so i don't want anyone messin it up. I see some white women that look like they need a serious dose of my pink moisturizer with their frazzled frizzy hair.Maybe it should be the opposite and you should say white women need to try black hair products cause they would work well on them!!!!!!

Why cant white women do black hair?

BC we ain't black

Why cant white women do black hair?

It is not a matter of whites not being able to do black hair. It is simply not having the need. White stylist often go to cosmetology schools that only teach you how to do caucasian hair type, which will work for alot of hispaniacs, and asian customers as well.

And black stylist learn to do every type of hair. Where I live you walk into a prodominently white salon, and there is at leat 1 or 2 black stylist. And those stylist do everything. But the white stylist usaully send black customers to them instead of doing it themselves.

What hair care product should I buy?

My daughter is half black and half white. Her hair is very curly but more white than black. It is very frizzy too. I have tried Luster's pink lotion, and that weighs her hair down. I have tried Just for me and same thing. I need something I can put in her hair that will give it moisture but not weigh it down.

What hair care product should I buy?

My younger cousin is biracial and her hair is very curly. Her mon use to have the same problem. I can tell you that when I keep her on the weekends, I use the shampoo her mom sends with her bag and it doesn't weight her hair down. As a guy, it helps me do her hair alot, because it is so thick. It makes me able to comb it, but it still leaves her curls springy and seperated. I am a guy, so excuse my lack of proper phrasing. I agree that you can't use most black hair care products on that type of hair. Too heavy. The shampoo and conditioner she uses is GodHead Silky Smooth Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. Beauty 4 Ashes Christian Health %26amp; Beauty makes it. Check their website.

Their products are all natural and do not contain any harsh chemicals or detergents that rob your hair of moisture. Plus, their conditioner is made primarily from aloe vera and essentials oils that make your hair grow.

What hair care product should I buy?

Use Fructis or Pantene. They work perfectly for my friend, who is half black half white

What hair care product should I buy?

Go to your local hair salon and ask for samples of different products. Different products work different for everyone. Yes, professional products can be expensive but you do not have to use as much. I would try the Bed Head line by TIGI. Great Stuff. I love Shine Junkie !!!!!!!!! ( The Bed Head line of hair products have weird names)Always ask for samples, most salons should carry a line of wonderful stuff.

Good Luck %26amp; Have fun

What hair care product should I buy?

The fructis leave in conditioner should work well. Try things with conditioners in them, not oils.

i use mizani products on a lot of unafrican americans. i could only tell you the nationality of a few. most appear 'white'.

they work well for almost any texture hair except fine , thin , straight , silky hair.

the conditioning shampoo is what i use the most of.

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

there are lots of new organic and revolutionary products on the internet but these are not available on the high street. do you think these products should be displayed to a wider audience where you can touch and smell them and gain advice from black hair care specialists.

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

Probably. But i am not sure but I am pretty sure there probabaly somewhere.

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

Of course they should, how else will people know what is available.

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

yes sounds good as lots of people want natural products that work instead of harsh chemicals

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

Why not? There are modern and natural black people on the high street so why not hair products? Also why not ask a few black people in an opinion survey?

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

Are we talking about black hair or afro hair? If you are talking about afro hair I think you are right in that there should be a wider selection on sale in the high street. You should be able to get advice and touch etc before you buy. I have a friend who is Egyptian and she has the wildest afro hair and she has difficulty finding products and so sticks to her ancient family remedies.

I have black hair and don't even bother looking for products to make it shine etc. What ever is on offer (BOGOF) is good enough for me.

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

Without a doubt. Natural hair and beauty products should be available to all people, of all races, both online and on the high street, not just in specific shops, or in specific areas with a high content of afro-caribbean residents. Beauty advisers should be able to advise women and men of any race on the best products for them from Superdrug, to Boots to Lush to the Body Shop to places like Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nicks. That is how it should be. Sadly, I think we are a long way off.

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

What the hell are u talking about elle55407 " I am not black, but I assume these products aren't in the stores because there is not a great demand for them."

Obviously she hasnt got any black friends! Its not like we can jus go out with nothing on our hair!! - Damn. U really would cross the street if u seen me au natural - coz it is SCARY (Try Diana Ross dragged through a bush backwards)!!!

In answer to ur question... Yes, I do think there is a place for these products and services on the high street....

.........................................

Is it now elle.... well this is jus 4 u %26gt;

Ha!!

I do not have a complex - believe u me

Fact is - im not feeling how u say 'theres no demand' - if u do have black friends as u claim - u will know that 99% of us NEED hair products same way plants need light!! Therefore, there IS a demand!

What the asker is talking about is being able to walk into a store and seeing how they work with our type of hair, how good they smell etc... We cant all use hair gel designed for caucasians! And yes, some of us are interested in organic hair products too, which i have NEVER seen in a store!!

Go ask ur 'black friends' and see what they say...

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

where do you live, becasue in london there are lots of black hair shops around, that have most of the things that you can get on the internet

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

i have no idea what you are trying to say?? and what is high street??

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

Yes I do think there is a need for these products.I used to work in an afro hair salon and I found the organic products to be the best of all.The salon also had a retail side and I found the organic range of products used to sell like hot cakes. As mentioned in one of the previous answers if you live in london you should be able to find these products,if not then maybe you could go to a local salon to see if they would order a trial range of products for you and other customers to try.

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

yes but i thought this was catered fo now why not do door to door catologue like Avon friend s would pass them around you get orders

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

i think it's a great idea i've never been able to go and fetch these items i have to order on line

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

i live in manchester and a lot of place's sell hair products for black people...but i do think most big stores should sell these products

Do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?

Where on earth do you go to 'touch and smell' hair products?? I am not black, but I assume these products aren't in the stores because there is not a great demand for them. Most products in stores either have a big distributor or are in high demand and have already been test marketed. A lot of products start out on the internet, and when they can prove they have the $ale$ to back their claims, they will eventually get into the mainstream.

JUST FOR YOU In4nt Luv!!

Actually, I do have black friends. LOTS of them. Not that it's any of your F'N BEEZWAX!! But I don't buy BLACK HAIR PRODUCTS. Just like the asker probably doesn't buy FAKE TANNING PRODUCTS. DUH!!

My point being, I was not exactly sure of the product she was referring to. There are TONS of products I can only buy on-line that aren't available in stores. BECAUSE UNLESS THE PUBLIC STARTS DEMANDING THEM, THEY ARE NOT MARKETABLE ENOUGH FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

Sounds like you have a real complex, hon.

INSTA LUV

You are an IDIOT!! How many ORGANIC HAIR PRODUCTS do you see for whites?? I've seen maybe one that I can even think of. BECAUSE THERE IS NO DEMAND FOR ORGANIC HAIR PRODUCTS!! The question was, in case you didn't actually read it, "do you think there is a place for modern and natural black hair products on the high street?" She went on to mention all the organic products available on the internet. That's what I responded to. And HELLO!! There is NO DEMAND FOR ORGANIC HAIR PRODUCTS. Perhaps you should cruise the market and look for yourself.

And just to show how RACIST YOU ARE, perhaps we should ALL be able to test out the products first. Why should BLACKS have that privelege if no one else does?? Because GUESS WHAT?? Not all WHITES have the same type of hair, and not all gels work on all our hair the same way, either.

Perhaps you need to get your white friends and ask them yourself. If you HAVE ANY WHITE FRIENDS.

I DIDN'T SAY blacks don't need hair products. NOR DID I INFER there was no demand for black hair products. I SAID there was no demand for the ORGANIC BLACK HAIR PRODUCTS as this asker mentioned, or you would see them in stores.

Don't you understand English? Or do you have SUCH A CHIP on your shoulder, every comment to you must have an underlying racist remark??

Which hair care product makes your hair...?

Is it hair mousse? I've seen a lot of girls with straight hair apply something that makes it even straighter and smooth... but I'm not sure what it is. My friend told me it was "oil" but that sounds like a joke.

Which hair care product makes your hair...?

It is smoothing serum. I use it everyday. Rub a dime-sized amount through wet hair and blow dry straight with a brush. It makes your hair smooth, silky and shiny. Aveda is my favorite - Light Elements Smoothing Fluid.

Which hair care product makes your hair...?

smoothing serums, oils, specialised products - your local salon will be able to help you. If you have fine or oily hair then try avoid anything too oily or your hair will look greasy

Which hair care product makes your hair...?

its mousse

Which hair care product makes your hair...?

i use mousse in my hair every day it makes my hair less frizzy and it makes my hair smooth.

DO NOT PUT OIL IN YOUR HAIR!!

it will make your hair greasy and

it will take forever to get out!

Which hair care product makes your hair...?

Well this is how I get my hair straightened. I take a shower, and right after I turn off the faucet, I put in the John Freida Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula [step 3]. Then I blow dry my hair, then straighten it, then I put in this Tresemme anti-frizz secret Smoothing Cream. Both those products work really great on my hair to make it straight and smooth and frizz free. For the Tresemme one, just put a little bit on your hand, maybe just like, a little smaller than a dime. And for the John Frieda, put about a dime size.

Which hair care product makes your hair...?

Well to make my hair really shiny and smooth I first get out of the and towl dry it. Next, I take Farouk Biosilk Silk Therapy and put a dollap about the size of a quarter in my palms and run it throughout my hair. It really does make my hair smoother.

Some gels and leave-in conditioners can help damaged hair. But, as for the oil, I think that she might have been talking about a hot oil treatment.

Hope I helped.

Hair care product to de-frizz for children??

Anyone have any suggestions for a good product for my twins, they have very fine blonde hair and it is constantly static straight up off their heads and tangled. The children's shampoos just aren't working at all with the conditioner built in.

Hair care product to de-frizz for children??

HERE HERE! Paul Mitchel no more tears products for infants is great stuff!!

Hair care product to de-frizz for children??

Try Johnsons no more tangles. It is for tangles, but is also good for eliminating the frizzies. Spray it on when wet, and a little when dry. It should help.

Hair care product to de-frizz for children??

i agree the childrens shampoo's and conditioners just don't work.maybe you should try john frieda's serum,it's a fantastic product.

Hair care product to de-frizz for children??

I use regular grown-up shampoo and conditioner when my child's hair goes crazy. I actually started using pantene deep conditioner on my son when he was about 4 or 5 months old because while sleeping on his back, he would rub his head against the mattress and wake up with frizzy tangled hair on the back of his head.

He doesn't have sensitive skin or anything like that so that's why I used the pantene on his hair. I checked with his pediatrician first, and she said it was fine.

Hope that helps!!

regards,

mari

Hair care product to de-frizz for children??

If they are still little and you are worried about shampoo in the eyes, then I would go with Suave for Kids. Use any one of the shampoos (they come with that built in conditioner), but buy the conditioner as well. It has worked very well with my kids' hair. I have 3 girls with all different types of hair. One is very thick and wavy, one is very thin, curly, and fine, and one is thin and straight. Until my oldest's hair got really long, I could use it on all 3, now I use a grown up conditioner on the oldest to cut back on the amount of conditioner that I use.

If they are old enough that you don't need no more tears, then just buy Suave Shampoo and Conditioner for adults. It comes in many different scents (the kids love that) and it doesn't cost so much that you feel bad spending it on the kids.

Good Luck

Hi! can any 1 tell me the difference between these 3 products. I had dark reddish brown hair with a

hair pattern. Since I kept dying my hair over the past years my hair turn on me and now it looks jet black which I dont like that much. Hi! can any 1 tell me the difference between these 3 products. I had dark reddish brown hair with a wavyish..?

it doesn't look like any of those are for lightening hair.

Hi! can any 1 tell me the difference between these 3 products. I had dark reddish brown hair with a wavyish..?

African American hair care help please :(?

Truth is, I dont know how to take care of it. My mom is filipino and my dad and brother dont know anything about relaxed hair.

I just got my hair relaxed the other day. My stylist said I shouldnt use Pantene Pro-V in my hair because it might be the reason why my scalp was always dry/hair falling out. I dont know what stuff to put in my hair to keep it from drying either.. So...

What type of shampoo/hair products should I use that I can easily find at the store like at Walmart? :\ Stuff at the salon is too expensive..

How often should I wash my hair? I see people say a week/2 weeks but usually my hair would start to smell funny by the 2nd or 3rd day and its gross.

How do I keep my hair straight after I wash it?

Help pleaaaseeee ;(

African American hair care help please :(?

hmm if your mother is fillipino than you should have curly hair right?always grease your scalp to stop the dryness wash your hair with cream of nature you can find it at your local ethnic hair store i'm not sure if there is a bunnies where you live but that's what i use (i'm also half black)if i were you i would just straighten it with a maxi glide it works very well and last a long time you should try hot 6 oil i use it all of the time you can heat it up than put it in your hair and leave it in with a special cap and it moisturizes it alot.

oh and do not wash your hair so much it will strip your hair of natural oils and vitamans

African American hair care help please :(?

First of all, my stylist told me that Pantene Pro V sucks. I recommend Biolage(sort of expensive) or Tresseme. If you are putting things like grease, gel, mousse, etc. you should wash it more often. You maybe should wash it 2 or 3 times a wee.

African American hair care help please :(?

dove shampoo + conditioner. it worked for me

African American hair care help please :(?

You can find Tresemme %26amp; cream of nature at walmart. It may take some experimenting to find out what works best. Look for something that is moisturizing, both the shampoo %26amp; conditioner. If you've had your hair relaxed, IMO try motions. The conditioner works on any type of hair.

Good luck!

African American hair care help please :(?

Well in that case wash your hair every 4-5 days. As for shampoo I suggest Motions or Dr. Miracles.

You may have an urge to over wash your hair, but don't. To remove the not-so-fresh feeling in between your shampoos, try a no-H2O-necessary shampoo like Klorane Oat Extract Dry Shampoo.

Just run a dime-sized amount through your hair and you will be left with fresh-smelling, clean strands.

Since you aren't washing your hair as often, you may notice your scalp will get a bit itchy. Please, resist the urge to scratch.

You can cut the skin which will invite in an assortment of bacteria.

Relieve the itch by swiping your scalp with an astringent-soaked cotton ball or pad.

If you are finding the time between washings long and you are constantly combating ho-hum hair, give it volume by braiding it into large sections at night.

In the morning, unbraid it, spray the roots with a flexible holding spray and finger-tousle your tresses.

What do you think about Burt's Bees Hair and Skin Care products? Any favorites in particular??

I'm a Burt's Bees ADDICT! lol, I own tons of their products.

Lip Shimmers- These have a minty smell and leave your lips tingly with a shimmery color! I love them! The best colors are Nutmeg, Watermelon, Rhubarb, and Radiance. Stay away from the cocoa color though.

Lip Balms-

The medicated one healed my chapped lips in 3 days, with a minty tingle!

The Replenishing lip balm with cranberry oil gets in your mouth easily and then tastes awful though. It adds a glossy pinky color though.

The beeswax lip balm makes your lips tingle and feel fantastic.

The honey lip balm smells like honey alot and moisturizes your lips very well.

Lip Glosses- The lemon lime one smells FANTASTIC! Their good for your lips, too!

Face washes- I use the Garden Tomato Complexion Soap along with the Garden Tomato Toner. It leaves my skin fabulous and I haven't had a pimple for a while since I started using these products!

The garden tomato soap and toner are formulated for oily skin. They have a wild lettuce soap for dry skin.

Face mask- Their Pore refining mask is SO REFRESHING! Pretty pricey, but it makes your pores VANISH! It makes your face tingle and GLOWEY!

Toners- They have one for dry skin and one for oily skin. The one I use is Garden Tomato Toner for Oily Skin. It smells good and leaves my skin feeling tingly!

Body Washes- I have used the Citrus %26amp; Ginger Root Body Wash and Peppermint Shower Soap. The Citrus one smells amazing and refreshes your skin. I like how it lathers really well.

The Peppermint Shower Soap smells SO REFRESHING and really wakes up your skin. I love how it scrubs well and the smell is amazingly refreshing. It makes your skin tingle in the shower! If you have sensitive skin though, don't use it because it feels a little scratchy.

Body Lotions- I have used the Naturally Nourishing Milk %26amp; Honey Body Lotion and the Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey %26amp; Orange Wax Body Lotion. Both smell great and are about pretty average.

I slather them on at night and go to bed smelling sweet, like honey. They moisturize pretty well and are Average body lotions.

Hand Moisturizers- I have the Almond Milk Hand Creme, the Beeswax %26amp; Banana Hand Creme, Hand Salve, and Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme.

The Almond Milk Hand Creme smells really good, kind of like cherries. It moisturizes your hands well but it leaves my hands kind of sticky.

The Beeswax %26amp; Banana Hand Creme smells AWESOME, like banana cream pie. I just wanna eat it, it smells soooo good. It moisturizes really well.

Hand Salve is really oily and greasy. I didn't like it because it's so greasy and the lid doesn't stay on the tin! The smell isn't too great, either.

Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme is the best hand creme I have used. Use only a LITTLE BIT though because its easy to squirt too much. It smells very strongly of herbs. My sister thought it smelled like pine-sol.

Foot Cremes- I have the Coconut Foot Creme, Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey %26amp; Bilberry Foot Creme, and Peppermint Foot Lotion.

The coconut foot creme feels a little waxy and silky at the same time. You're supposed to only use it under socks because if you go barefoot with it, it'll get all over the carpet. It leaves your feet smooth and silky!

The Honey Foot Creme smells alot like Honey. It leaves your feet moisturized and soft. I love it! It's perfect for foot massages.

The peppermint foot lotion literally leaves your feet GLOWING and tingly all over. I love it!

Overall, my favorite products are:

Garden Tomato Complexion Soap

Garden Tomato Toner

Watermelon, Nutmeg, Rhubarb, and Radiance Lip Shimmers

Lemon Lime Lip Gloss

Peppermint Shower Soap

Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme

Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey %26amp; Bilberry Foot Creme

There ya go! Hope I helped!

What do you think about Burt's Bees Hair and Skin Care products? Any favorites in particular??

Sure! I would like to know how it turns out for you. I won't be able to try it for myself because the ingredients in most shampoos and conditioners irritate my scalp, so I strictly use a baking-soda based shampoo which means I can't try all those others :( Report It

What do you think about Burt's Bees Hair and Skin Care products? Any favorites in particular??

I love Burt's Bees! My favorite is just their plain old chap stick. It's got that minty feeling and ahhh I love it! I haven't tried many of their other things, but I know I like their tinted chap sticks too.

What do you think about Burt's Bees Hair and Skin Care products? Any favorites in particular??

The only thing I use and love is their lemon cuticle cream.

What do you think about Burt's Bees Hair and Skin Care products? Any favorites in particular??

i've tried these products to me they were just average, favorites would be aveda skincare and paul mitchell hair care they have some fairly new products that rock.(SUPER SKINNY SERUM, HEAVENLY, ROUND TRIP A CURLY HAIR GIRLS LIFE SAVER)

What do you think about Burt's Bees Hair and Skin Care products? Any favorites in particular??

It is one of my favorite lines for hand salve and lip balm. I highly recommend both. I haven't tried any of the other products.

What do you think about Burt's Bees Hair and Skin Care products? Any favorites in particular??

Their skin care line is amazing and it worked wonders for my skin. I've used several of their face washes and blemish sticks. I love the raspberry complexion mist. It really helped to clear my skin up.

I also like all of their chapsticks/lipbalms.

The lemon cuticle cream smells delicious, as does the banana hand cream. Almond Butter %26amp; Milk lotions are wonderful smelling also. Plus they make you hands feel nice and smooth. I've used their coconut foot cream for dry, cracking heels and it restored them within days.

I've used a lot of their products and I haven't been dissapointed with any of them (Except the Carrot Nuritive Body Lotion, the smell makes me wanna puke). All my friends love them too. For Christmas I make sure to buy plenty of Burt's Bees Gift Baskets.
